All Are Welcome At Our (Web) Table.

The possibilities of an online ministry are great. Members and friends of FCC Rochester become connected in new and interesting ways through internet technologies that help us learn more about each other while sharing details that would not be possible in everyday worship-life. But the possibilities do not end there.

As the world continues to challenge believers in their faith and hope for the future an online church may be the right arsenal to be used in fighting the right war; the war of Faith over Fear; Possibility over Despair, Love over Indifference.

We are new to this terrain, and we are sure to make mistakes, omissions and an occasional faux pas or two. To be sure we are interested in keeping a balance between staying connected with friends and members and making new linkages with new people in order to learn from one another and become more out of this knowledge. To that end we will be asking members, friends and guests to help us create meaningful online experiences. Anyone who has visited us in our Brick and Mortar Worship Center has surely experienced our commitment to hospitality, friendliness, and authenticity. It is our hope through collective involvement to translate (and perhaps go beyond) our abilities to make new users of our online worship center feel welcome and inspired to follow their own spiritual journeys (with us?).

Our team currently consists of a few. Lacey Renee Davis, Ken Georg, Les Sultz, Reverend David, KC Lazzara, Molly Schweighofer. We meet via teleconference and email (mostly) and when necessary meet in person usually at the church. As we move forward we invite anyone who would like to help us in this great (vital?) endeavor to contact us. I am sure we have a spot for you.

In the upcoming weeks and months we will be expanding our view to include Social Network Sites beyond Facebook and Youtube to Twitter, Flickr and others. We welcome all who are willing to learn along with us. Stay tuned.
